Job Description - Professional Sports Person

There are many different opportunities for employment in the sporting world. The most popular sports like football, horseracing, golf, cricket and rugby are difficult to find employment in as they attract many people and only the very best make a career of sport. Also a professional sports persons career can be very short lived, but there are other careers for retired sports people such as commentating, sports journalism, personal training and sports therapy. These are often a perfect transition for retired sports people.

Training & Qualifications

Most people who make a career in sport, first started playing at school, and for local clubs. Often they were spotted playing for local teams by talent scouts.

Formal  qualifications are  not as important as talent for a career in playing sport, although constant training is necessary.
